Well, sorry to have let down the two people who actually looked at this blog with some sense of regularity ( honestly it was probably more like one person, and that person was probably my mom. Just kidding.)

Anyway, it's been near a year now since I last posted anything. A whole slew of things happened all within a small time frame: Bought a house with the wife and kids, lost my job, got a new job, got a new haircut, a new suit, and a new face... just kidding... maybe.

I have since repented and offer this recycled image as penance until I can produce something I think is worth showing the masses.

Have at ye!

CHIEF 2: the coloring...

Just thought I'd mess around with coloring the last sketch.

Chief...

I have no witty or pithy comments associated with this sketch. But I like it all the same.

Zombie Defense...

So, I drew this in some weak-sauce program at work. It is a diagram that helps explain the benefits of wearing a helmet when you find yourself in the middle of a zombie uprising. So there ya go...

Character Designs, Schmaracter Designs,

Well, It's about time I post something new.

Here are a few pages of concept designs I did for a game that a friend of mine is working on. Paintbrush Knights, Pencil Mountain Dwarfs, and Eraser Club Ogres.

The game company later decided to go for a simpler overall design and look for the game so I'll post some concepts I've done in the simpler style as well. But, this must wait.

NEW PROFILE PICTURE

I added a new pic as my profile photo. It's so small over there though so I thought I would post it in its larger cardigan-wearing-goblin glory. Enjoy.

... I think I like goblins too.

ARRRRRRR!

This be a SEA-WORTHY post says I!In movies you always see pirates with shiny metal hooks. I can't help but think that the combination of salty sea water and metal would create some serious rust issues.

Headless Samurai revisited.

Wow, I'm not doing so great at posting with any kind of regularity. I've started helping a gaming company out with some concept art for a game. I'll post some of the concepts I've done so far later on, probably next week.

But, in the meantime:... needless to say, I'm still in love with the idea of a headless samurai so I did a few more sketches. Enjoy with honor.

Incriminating Evidence

Despite my better judgment I've decided to put up some old images. These were my first three, and only attempts to date at doing 3D. The lantern was my first attempt, the watch second, and the Clockbot was last. Someday I'd like to dabble in that medium some more.

Let the public flogging commence!

A Short Reprieve

All is back to normal... so I thought I'd come back with a picture I did for a class. No, not art class, Ethics and Values. Yeah, you heard me right. If you want to find out who the old dude running is, just do a search for "the allegory of the cave" and see what you can find.

A Sharpie Sketch

If you know what film this is from then I love you. If not, then I'm sorry, I may never bring myself to truly love you.

Ah, My Peeps!

Nothing to say about this one, except for what I just said which contradicted what I said previously.

Satyr, Samurai, Warthog, and a Chameleon that looks somewhat like a dinosaur...

Sketch, sketch, sketch, blah, blah, blah, blah, sketch, drawring, pencil, warthog, oh, and blah, vampire.

A Load of Croc...

Oh, the Crocodile Man. The crocodile head from a previous post inspired me to take it a step further, witch then inspired me to take it a colorful step further. I just love to get the colors in my mind onto the image.

A Yeti in the Making (or some kinda ape man)

Just messing around with Yetis, or would it be Yetii? Honestly, I'm not so hot on the coloring. I think I'll have another go at it some other day. Looks like I need a better scanner too, a lot of the pencil detail is less than visible.
