Mumm-Ra Redux - My Childhood Villains

A while back I did a shogun style samurai Lion-O

well... here is my counter part Mumm-Ra redesign.

Obviously the guy lives in a pyramid so I wanted to bring out more egyptian elements than the original design had. Then on top of that I wanted some asian influence to go with the Samurai Lion-O design.

Anyway...

Ancient spirits of evil, Turn this decayed form into Mumm-Ra the everliving!

... I don't know if anybody else agrees, but I've always felt like the introduction of Ma-mutt kind of neutered (pun intended) Mumm-Ra's evil side. He went from a creepy old mummy, bent on ruling third earth to a grumpy old man on the porch who always has his trusty blood hound by his side.

I bring you the latest in my Childhood Villains series. And one more from the Ninja Turtles line up.

Behold! Shredder in all his shredding glory. A little redesigned. Less Samurai... more ninja.

I always thought it looked like Shredder was wearing Pajamas in practically every rendition of him. I kinda kept that spirit alive I think.

Here's an interesting little tidbit for the fact geeks out there. The cartoon Shredder was voiced by the dad from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. What!!!??? fantastic.

... oh and Panthro was voiced by the grandpa from the Cosby Show. Delicious.

Foot Ninja Ambush! - My Childhood Villains

I just couldn't help myself.

Plus... I think I want to keep doing villains from my childhood. I started making a mental list of villains from old cartoons and tv shows. Yep, I geeked out.

feel free to suggest any villains you can think of.

I decided to go for an old school color scheme here.... yep, purple ninjas.

Krang! - My Childhood Villain

Krang... one of the absolute greatest villains from my childhood.
A tentacle brain alien is completely genius.
Every now and then I can hear his fantastic voice as it rises and plummets in pitch yelling "Shredder!"
